All boys ages 9 - 17 that reside or attend school in the New England area are eligible to participate.

1. There are two ways to be evaluated to become a NH Fastbreak team member.  The easiest and quickest way is to get a personal evaluation by our Director of Coaching, Tim Finnegan.  You can do this at any time at the Derry SportsZone.  You can sign up for a time slot in the SportsZone Office on Tim’s Signup Sheet, or contact Tim directly at 603.475.9764 or by e-mail at tfinnegan89@aol.com,

Come to one (or both) of the tryouts.  Here are the tryout dates for the 2010 season:

         10U/11U (Elementary School age)

Wed., Jan. 6, 2010, 7-9 PM               and                    Thur., Jan. 7, 2010, 7-9 PM

         12U/13U/14U (Middle School age)

Wed., Feb. 10, 2010, 7-9 PM            and                    Thur., Feb. 11, 2010, 7-9 PM

15U/16U/17U (High School age)

Wed., Mar. 17, 2010, 7-9 PM            and                    Thur., Mar. 18, 2010, 7-9 PM
NOTES:


• If you get on a team through a personal evaluation by Tim, we still encourage you to come to one or both of the tryouts to help us evaluate the players who show up for the first time at the tryouts. Once you are on a team, you don’t have to worry about a change of heart after tryouts.
  
  
• The Middle School and High School tryouts are later this year than in previous years because we have been asked by the local school coaches not to hold tryouts during the regular basketball season. We are respecting their wishes and want to support the local school coaches.
  
  
  
2. Whether you get a personal evaluation by Tim or come to the tryouts, you will need to fill out a Tryout Form and submit a $25 non-refundable fee. The fee covers insurance and court fees for the personal evaluation and both tryouts. You can download the form here (Tryout Form) and fill it out beforehand, or fill one out when you show up.
   
   
3. If you are selected for a team, either by personal evaluation or through tryouts, you must fill out a Commitment Form and submit a $100 non-refundable payment (details of exceptions to non-refundable policy are on the form). This payment will be applied to the total cost of membership to be on a team. You can download the form here (Commitment Form). Your spot on a team is not reserved until we receive the form and the payment.
   
   
4. Once you are on a team, you must register with AAU. Each player is responsible for their AAU registration, and must submit a copy of this registration to the Team Manager before the first practice. In order to register, go to https://secure.aausports.org/aaustore/register/athlete2.asp and enter your information. For the Program, select “Youth Program”. For the Membership Term/Category, select “Added Benefit Membership 14.00”. For Sport, select “Basketball-Boys”. For Club Name, enter “NH Fastbreak”. For Club Code, enter “NEBACADKCO”. When you have completed the registration, print two copies; keep one for yourself and we will hold onto the other one.
